Craigslist Crimes: Teen Robbed During iPhone Sales

Craigslist is just getting crazier and crazier.

EUCLID, OH — A teenager was robbed at gunpoint twice in three days. Police say he was trying to sell iPhones to people on Craigslist.

Surveillance video shows a man running from the Sunoco gas station at East 222nd Street and Miller Avenue in Euclid around 6:15 p.m. on February 6.

“I’ve been here for going on 12 years now. This kind of stuff doesn’t happen here, so it’s alarming, it’s disturbing to see it happen in my parking lot,” said manager Fred Jallad.

Detectives say a man answered the Craigslist ad of a 17-year-old boy who was selling iPhone 5’s online and agreed to meet him at the gas station.  Jallad says he later showed the surveillance video to the teenager and the boy told him what happened.
