TOLEDO, Oh – An eight-year-old Toledo boy paid it forward to a soldier after a lucky find in a restaurant parking lot.
8-year-old Myles Eckert found a $20 bill as he walked into Cracker Barrel with his family. He picked it up and began imagining what he could spend it on until he saw Lt. Col. Frank Dailey, according to CBS News.
Dailey was wearing his uniform and it reminded Myles of his father who was also a solider.
Thinking of his dad, Myles wrapped up the $20 in a note that read, “Dear Soldier –my dad was a soldier. He’s in heaven now. I found this 20 dollars in the parking lot when we got here. We like to pay it forward in my family. It’s your lucky day! Thank you for your service. Myles Eckert, a gold star kid.”
